Frontier Global Sciences Selected to Support Lead Cosmetics Study for FDA
Frontier Global Sciences, a leading laboratory that specializes in the analysis of toxic metals, under contract with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), performed the analysis of lead in 400 lipsticks as part of the FDA’s 2010 expanded survey of lead in cosmetics (FDA Study Link). Following the direction of the FDA, Frontier Global Sciences obtained 400 lipstick samples representing a variety of manufacturers and performed the digestion and analysis following a protocol consistent with the FDA’s validated method for measuring lead in lipstick (FDA Final Results).
