Last Call for Makeup Artist Training Class Registrants for October 2011
Time is running out to register for the last makeup artist training being offered at the Makeup Gourmet Studio for 2011. This three-day offering, October 26-28, covers from the most natural to most dramatic makeup. The training is entirely hands-on as participants walk away with a wealth of makeup application knowledge and expertise.
“I have spent many years perfecting and codifying how to communicate the art of makeup,” says Chris Scott, CEO and Founder of Makeup Gourmet, and Key Trainer for this class.
Although there is an abundance of talented makeup artists there are far fewer who can, and are willing to, pass on their expertise to the next generations of makeup artists.
Scott observes, “Some makeup artists feel like it is akin to a magician telling you how they do their magic and are reluctant to give it away.” Scott believes that the more expertise is shared, the stronger the entire makeup artist community will be.
This makeup training teaches Mr. Scott’s makeup theory, ‘Face With a Heart.’ It is a system for balancing and best presenting the ensemble of features on any face.
The final day of training is a comprehensive exam where students must display aptitude in all the looks taught in order to receive a certificate of completion. “This is one test that seals the deals for participating makeup artists,” Scott says. “Once they pass this exam, they have the confidence to forge ahead and ply their trade.”
A great benefit to participants is the fact that the Makeup Gourmet studio is also a photo/video studio. Students can photograph their work in a professional setting and get a head start on the coveted Look Book.
The 20-hour training is designed to be affordable as well so as to include as many interested participants as possible.
