Lacura Skin CareSelect assortment discount grocer ALDI is bringing one of Europe’s best kept beauty secrets to the U.S. as it launches its Lacura skincare in stores across the country. Created by German skincare specialists, this premium line of facial toners and cleansers; facial creams; eye creams and gels; gentle lip balm; and facial masks and peeling gels has been highly praised by beauty experts and beaten some of the biggest names in beauty in independent consumer testing.

Lacura Q10 Anti-wrinkle Night Cream came out top in European quality tests alongside major brands such as L’Oreal, Olay and Helena Rubenstein. Meanwhile, in independent blind tests of 2,000 volunteers, Lacura Q10 Anti-wrinkle Day Cream was voted best for its powerful anti-aging effects. Once women in Britain read about it, they cleared ALDI’s shelves, buying more than 35,000 jars in just one day. Lacura also beats competitors on price with products retailing as much as 95 percent lower than big-name brands.

“Our Lacura skincare formulas have won wide acclaim in Europe, so we’re thrilled to be bringing them to U.S. consumers,” said Joan Kavanaugh, ALDI’s vice president of corporate purchasing. “Every product features nature’s finest ingredients and the latest skincare research to really nurture the skin. In fact, we use the same hard-working ingredients you’ll find behind more expensive labels. With Lacura, enjoying firmer, fresher, feel-good skin doesn’t have to cost a fortune.”

Lacura ingredients include bioflavonoids, coenzyme Q10, a special retinol complex, hydrating sea minerals, provitamin B5, aloe vera, vitamins E and C, allantoin and other active extracts. The skincare retails from $1.99 to $4.99 compared to competitor prices of $20 to $99 and includes:

[…] Anyone tried Lacura Skincare Products? I recently went to my local Aldi and they now carry Lacura Skincare products. I have read they are equal to the other name brand drugstore brands. I bought one of almost everything they had because the prices were unbeatable. Their whole line of moisturizers were just $5.00 a jar. Masks were $2.00, Eye creams $4.00, etc. The product line is made in Germany. Any opinions on this brand? Lacura Skin Care __________________ **Christine** […]

I LOVE THIS LINE OF SKIN CARE! I AM IN THE BEAUTY PROFESSION AND THIS STUFF ROCKS! THE PRICE IS AWESOME, AND I HAVE TRIED IT ALL IN THE PROFESSIONAL LINES, AND THIS IS THE BEST. I USE IT AT NIGHT, AND IN THE AM, AND USE THE DAY CREAM AS A BASE BEFORE MAKE-UP. ANYONE WOULD BE INSANE NOT TO USE THIS!! I AM TELLING YOU, I HAVE USED PRODUCTS THAT COST UP TO $75 FOR CREAM, AND THIS IS WAY BETTER! USE IF FOR A MONTH, AND YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE!!

Will this work for blackheads, cystic acne, & sebaceous cysts?

Comment by gabriella on April 3, 2009 @ 3:56 pm

I have tried the q10 night cream, and it is amazing. I have terrible combination skin…dry patches and a super slick t-zone. My skin is now perfectly moisturized, very little shine and no dryness. And fine lines are now invisible. It’s only been about 2 weeks, but I see no reason to go back to anything else. I love it. Also, my semi-uneven textured skin is very soft and smooth. Love it.

Comment by Lindsey on April 3, 2009 @ 5:24 pm

I absolutely LOVE it! I cannot believe how cheap it is - it works brilliantly! Don’t overuse the eye cream (no more than once a day for sensitive skin, and twice for normal) and you won’t have any redness or irritation. I can’t wait to try more of Lacura’s products!

Comment by lilkunta on April 4, 2009 @ 4:40 pm

I have cystic acne , sebaceous cycts, & blackheads. Will Lacura’s mask, cleanser, & toner work for me? If so that will be gret bc Lacura’s 3 items cost $9.51(including 6%tax)total vs ProActiv costing $46. That is 1/3 of the cost! Lacura doesnt have a face moisturizer but I may very easily buy a moisturizer @ CVS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THanks.

Wrinkle Filler with Collagen was special purchase. They usually get it in a few times a year. I bought 3 tubes which should last ’til next time. That and the Lacura Self Tannig lotion sold out quickly. No turning orange or streaking and the smell is wonderful also

Lacura wrinkle stop can be bought at Aldi. Though advertised as going on sale on 4th May it is in store now and dont panic buy my store had loads.

The Lacura range has lots of different treatments for all skin types. I have found the anti-aging serumm (for neck and chest) is wonderful stuff leaving my skin so soft and it sells at just over 3!! Their make up remover wipes are also excellent.

You just can beat this range

    Response to lilkinta re acne

I havent noticed anything for acne specifically these creams are all for moisturising and anti aging and cleansing.

If you have an aldi near you it is worth poping in and seeing of they have anything for acne in one of their other ranges as it would definately be worth a try at the pries they charge.

    Good luck

The mascara is great if you can get it applied. The brush is WAY TOO BIG and it comes out of the tube in massive amounts… you have to clean the brush to even apply it.

I LOVE this line of skin care and highly recommend it to anyone. I myself have spent over the years ALOT of money on high quality skin care products and this line of products by far is the best. I have been using the revitalizing serum and the anti aging skin treatment and have seen amazing results. My only problem is that i am running out of the antiaging treatment and the Aldis in my area only had it in as a special and i can’t seem to purchase this product anywhere, can anyone help as far as letting me know where or how to get more?!

    Hi All,

I am an Aldi employee. If you can’t find a specific Lacura item please ask any associate. Sometimes there are boxes on the shelf behind the product facing that are hard to see. We are happy to help look for you. When you see a special purchase item like the anti-aging treatments, buy it as fast as you can. Special purchases don’t last long…

As always we are glad to call around to other stores to see if we can locate a product for you. Any cashier or manager will be glad to help. Also we do keep track of customer requests at the store level and forward on our reports, so be sure you make your needs known when you shop.

On a more personal note, I bought one of every basic skin care item for me and my daughters. One daughter has dry skin and whitehead breakouts. The Hydra line worked great for her.

I am using the day and night creams and the exfoliating gel. They are fantastic. The restorative cream is excellent…you can put it on at night and you wake up with super soft skin. The creams smell wonderful and apply wonderfully as well. I am allergic to who knows what…some products break me out or cause redness or my eyes to be puffy but I have had no problems. I have also tried the foundation. It is very light and easy to apply. My philosophy is if you have great skin care, then you don’t need a lot of makeup. My makeup routine is less than 2 minutes and I am in my mid 40’s.
I have also tried the nailpolish. I gave it the TOE test. If it can last over a week without a chip, then it is a winner. After 11 days, I got the first chip.

Ladies, Aldi has a double guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we will refund your money and give you a replacement product. Certainly worth a try. I would also recommend the Hydra line for the guys. It smells fresh, and they have skin too!

I tried the Firming Face and Neck cream. When I went back to purchase another jar I found it had been discontinued! I was so disappointed and am wondering where I can purchase this product. It is simply amazing and leaves your skin feeling so rejuvenated and the results of using the Lacura product exceeds the expensive brands that I have tried. I do not want to be without it. I have also tried many other Lacura products and have not been disappointed by any of them. On behalf of women everywhere, please tell me that Aldi will return this product to their shelves. If this is not possible, where may I purchase it?

Comment by Patti on July 12, 2009 @ 6:30 pm

I have really bad acne and I get cystic acne fairly often. I have used all the products for sensitive skin as well as the exfoliating peel and I really do have to tell you my skin’s looking better everyday. If you have acne I’d really try the products. Give it a month and I’ll bet you see it too. I did in the first week.

Comment by Susan on July 13, 2009 @ 8:05 am

The Firming Face and Neck Creme is just wonderful, but I have almost ran out of it. The Aldi I shop at, said it was a special and will not be back, oh so disappointing. There are a couple others that I have fell in love with, they also will not be back. Oh Please there must be a way to bring them back or the order online. After trying so many different products, finally finding ones that really work and now they are gone. Just not fair, please bring them back I need them, they work so well and my skin feels and looks better than it has in years. I am begging, bring them back.
    Thank you

Comment by Nancy on July 17, 2009 @ 12:47 am

I’ve been shopping at Aldi in the Midwestern U.S. for about ten years now - I’ve really got to say that overall I’ve been 100% delighted with my experience with them over that time. For those of you who don’t live in the U.S., at one time (going back about six years or a bit more) there was a ’stigma’ attached to shopping at an Aldi - many, many people turned up their noses at shopping at one of ‘those’. I’ve always found their products to be every bit as good - or better - than the name brands. There are a few of their products I absolutely do not like, but they’re few in number.

Okay - off the Aldi Soapbox and on to my opinion of LaCura.

I’ve been using Olay products since I was in my twenties. I’m nearing 50 (oh, dear) and had started using Olay’s exfoliating products. When I say the LaCura, I thought that for the price, it was worth an ‘experiment’. I purchased the exfoliating cleanser tube, the leave-on masque, and their wrinkle cream for day wear.

I’ve used the exfoliating cleanser every day for nearly two weeks, the cream during the day and have used the mask twice.

I guess I should start by letting you all know that I am a caucasian female, near 50 years of age and I have extremely fair skin (red hair, blue eyes; the whole Scottish/Irish/English ancestry bit) - because of this, I’ve never been much of a sun worshipper and while I don’t yet have truly deep lines or sagging, I do have small melanin patches, a few small warts (HORRORS!) and the usual large pores that come with older skin. My skin - at times -can be sensitive to products. Except for my forehead, my skin tends to be on the dry side.

I REALLY like the exfoliating cleanser. The ‘granules’ are in a thick, creamy base which lathers nicely, seems to clean throughly and rinses easily. My skin feels very clean, has a nice glow and the oily forehead issue seems to have lessened a bit. Some have objected to the scent but I like it - it’s a very ‘green’ note - a vegetable/woodland/fresh main scent with a subtle hint of what seems to be mint/rose. Don’t laugh but I’ve also used this exfoliator for my legs and arms for dry skin and it feels marvelous. Rinses off cleanly.

The masque: Again, the fragrance does not bother me and seems to have a bit more floral in it than the scrub. So far, I can’t tell much difference one way or the other but I DO like the way my skin feels after it is rinsed off. I do want to caution again that I am extremely fair-skinned and noted that my forehead seemed ‘irritated’ afterwards - not sore, itchy or tingly mind you, but it was ’splotchy’ pink in a few places. This DID go away a short time after.

I really like the day moisturizer (green lid) the fragrance is barely noticeable and the product is so rich that I do not need to use much. I do not wear a liquid makeup foundation - light powder only and a bit of blush powder.

On the whole I will say that my skin DOES seem to look a bit better after two weeks. My forehead is not as oily as it was and the lines around my mouth and eyes do not seem as noticeable. The products have not caused me any discomfort, rash or irritation (other than the masque and it was a very brief reaction) and the cream does a good job of ‘holding’ my powder makeup in place.

At this point, I give LaCura an 8 on a scale of 1-10, compareed to Oil of Olay products and Clinique, which I have also used for many years.

Now, when George Clooney passes me on the street, asks me for a date and says, “My Word! You don’t look a day over twenty-five, we’ll know LaCura REALLY does the trick!” LOL

Luck to all you ladies out there!

    Nancy

A few days ago my 76 year old wife asked me to try to find out where LACURA Face mask was available because she was very happy about her past purchase with Aldi just that they had no more stock. Well, we just got min the new pamphlet that shows they are selling it again.
    .
Apart from instead of hiding her face behind a Face Mask it is simpler to switch the light of, as then I cannot see her face either I must admit that she is very pleased about the LACURA range.
Just that I am disappointed as the truck load of Anti Aging didnt get her to reverse her aging at all as she still is getting older. Perhaps that why I do not try to use it myself as I dont use it at all as I rather age gracefully.
    .
Still, My wife is pleased with the products of LACURA she uses and considering I once purchased a small jar of night cream being slugged more then $120.00, and mind you that was years ago, then I for one have no issue with her sticking to LACURA as it is a hell of a lot cheaper and at least she uses it and doesnt dump it in the garbage bin (as she did with the $120.00 jar).
    .
And with all the monies save now at least I can have an excuse we can buy more peanuts and chips as after all if she has her way of making her self happy then I should be entitled to do the same, even so my circumference is in the process growing a bit. B7ut at least is isnt a beer belly! Just that most people dont realise that you can have a peanut belly from eating to many peanut. So, I wonder is there any antic peanut belly cream on the market?

I bought the Q10 Restorative Cream and have been using it about 2 weeks now and can really see a difference in the lines around my eyes! Woohoo - something that actually works and for only $5 - what a deal. I’m going to go get the night wrinkle cream and start using that also. Do they make this stuff in 5 gallon drums!

I bought the sensitive skin products for my 10 year old who has started to break out.

She loves it so much that I might purchase it for myself. She said it made her skin feel very clean and she noticed that the breakouts on her nose were better after only a few days.

Her skin looks fine. I was very glad to see product reviews here.

Keep up the good work. We love Aldi.

I’ve tried everything on the market. With combination skin, I highly recommend the Lacura line. Price is awesome, there is NO reason to buy expensive skin care lines (and some of those absolutely made me break out!!!). No matter what you do use or don’t use, ALWAYS use some kind of sun protection cream, on your face, neck and back of hands. ALWAYS!!!

I have been using the foundation/powder for several months now, and I absolutely love it. It blends beautifully with my skin tones. There is only one problem; why don’t you all make your pressed powder in a loose powder? That would be so much better, and I honestly do believe you would sell so much more of this fabulous product. Is it even made in a loose powder? I have told so many of my friends about this, they have tried it, and they also love it!

I would like to purchase Lacura Body Care Anti-Ageing Hand cream for mature skin in the 125ml tube as available in London, England. My girl friends all ask me to let them have a tube. Please put this excellent product on the market in my area,(Cleveland),or direct me to a store in the USA where it is for sale. Importing it from England is both difficult and expensive.

I have been going to Aldi’s, weekly, to see if they have received a new shipment of Lacura Face Cleanser, but they haven’t. It’s been over a couple of months now. Does this mean that Aldi’s will not be carrying this product any more?
I would like to know where I can purchase this product, please?

I bought the lotion, toner and mask the other day at Aldi, and although I love the lotion and toner, the mask made my face break out in a horrible rash. I am pregnant, however, and im not sure if my changing skin is the reason for this reaction. Has any one else used this while pregnant?

Has anyone else experienced hot flashes after using the Lacura Q10 night cream? For several weeks while using this cream I would suddenly get very warm, almost suffocatingly so, after being in bed under the covers for a while. After throwing off the covers my body would adjust and I would be okay. It took me a while to connect the cream to what was happening, but once I stopped using the cream I no longer experienced the hot flashes while under covers. Can anyone explain this phenomenom or what ingredients in this cream would cause this? At first I thought I was going through the change of life, but I don’t think this is the case, since the symptom ceased when I stopped using the product.

Comment by Elizabeth on December 2, 2009 @ 2:30 pm

I’ve been using these products since May 2009. My mom turned me on to them and she lives in Alanta. So, got them at the Atlanta Aldi stores. We don’t have Aldi in Richmond, VA - so, I’ve gotten them at out of town stores.

They are really good products and work! The price is unbelievable. My skin has never been softer and even toned. I would recommend when you see the products at the stores - buy multiple! If you don’t like the products - you can return with a receipt.

If you go on the Aldi website - you can see some of the products offered. I do know the stores can’t request these products - they just come in. Some stores have a bigger selection - one Aldi in Charlotte, NC I went to had them on clearance. So, it is hit or miss.

    Good Luck..

i am reading that once Aldi runs out of Lacura products they do not restock? is that true. We just got an Aldi in our area..If anyone knows this is the case please respond. Do they order more or just run out and that is it.

    Comment by Courtney R. on January 6, 2010 @ 9:10 pm

In response to Sheila Barker, Sheila as far as I know, Lacura products are NOT tested on animals. Lacura products are also made with a lot of natural ingredients and are easy on the skin.

I am an Aldi’s employee and when we first received the Lacura skin care products in our store, they asked us to try them out. The calming face wash and the sea mineral facial moisturizer are both amazing products both in quality and not just for the awesome price! I also decided to try out the foundation and powder compact, as after the holidays last year I had purchased over $300 of Clinique cosmetics and skin care products and they ended up murdering my skin (it was awful…so harsh!) So I tried the foundation and it is a bit thick coming out of the tube, but this stuff is MAGIC! I have combination skin that is very sensitive and Lacura foundation is calm on my skin and so light on your face you can’t even feel you’ve got make-up on. It offers great coverage with or without the powder which is awesome in its own right. The powder isn’t heavy or cakey. It stops shine in its tracks and leaves you face looking fresh. With my success, I will definitely be trying the rest of the cosmetics because they look super!
Lacura also has a body lotion with avocado oil and vitamin E I believe?, I don’t know exactly…..but I bought some in a huge bottle for $2.99 and it smells gorgeous and makes you feel heavenly soft and smooth. I took it on a cruise in November and it made my skin velvety smooth after long days on the beach!!!!

Lacura is the real deal ladies!!! Good honest products at good honest prices!!!! Plus, what do you have to lose with nothing over $8-10 in any of the lines? (skin care, cosmetics…etc.) Even in the case that you aren’t thrilled with your purchase, the double back guarantee is in place, so you bring it back for your money and choice of other product. Amazing stuff, real talk.

Comment by Kellie on January 9, 2010 @ 7:48 pm

I love the peeling gel…it’s by far the best microdermabrasion gel I have ever tried. I also like the day cream and the Q10 night cream…every penny worth it’s weight and more! You also get a generous amount for very little and the creams come in pretty frosted glass jars and the night cream has retinol! YAH!

Is this something Aldi will continue to carry? Is there a place online that I can purchase the products if my local Aldi is out of them?

    Comment by L. on January 18, 2010 @ 5:55 pm

After reading an article about Lacura in a magazine, Last week I purchased th Q10 Day and Night Cream as well as the Regenerating Eye Cream. After two days of using these products, I had swelling around my eyes, red bumps appeared on my face, and a burning sensation, which I still have three days later. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I read a lot of positive comments about these products, and was excited to try them, but am disappointed with my allergic reaction.

Hi L. from Jan 18 post…you are obviously allergic to something in these products. Stay away from them. I however, still love them and continue to use them daily and am at my 2 week marker using these products and see reduction in fine lines, softer skin and lighter freckles.

Comment by angie on January 27, 2010 @ 8:47 pm

I have been using the toner, moisturizer, foundation & powder & waterproof mascara (my local is out of the cleanser & has not gotten another shipment in). I am really impressed! I admit, I was skeptical because my skin is so sensitive…The sensitive skin formula toner truly is very gentle & the cream is very moisturizing without being too heavy & gooey. The foundation goes on nicely & has a nice lightweight feel & pretty good coverage too–it also doesn’t take a huge amount of the foundation to get coverage. The powder gives a nice even lightweight coverage and minimizes shine without giving skin that dry cakey look. The foundation & powder wears well & washes off well. The waterproof mascara washes off easily but stays in place through exercise & tears. I truly am impressed with these products. Nice product, nice price ;-) I certainly hope my local Aldi continues to carry these products!

Comment by angie on January 27, 2010 @ 8:52 pm

Oh…in the comment above, I left out how long I’ve been using the products… it’s been about 3 weeks now. I also should have said that the packaging looks nice too.

We found your care program products at our local Aldi’s store; prices were great, lots of items to choose from so we decided to try the products; we love them. I used Mary Kay products for 15 yrs, since using your products my face seems softer, smoother, with much better results. Best of all instead of paying $25 dollars for moisturizes it only cost $3.99; just in time for the ecomony crunch with better results. We LOVE YOUR PRODUCTS AND GOOD BYE MARY KAY! Just wanted to share. Linda from Maryland

I have tried Lacura Q10 night cream and am very happy with the results. I then tried the Regenerating eye cream and found that the area around my eyes became puffy and looked like I had been crying for days. That was yesterday, they are still puffy and now they itch

Comment by Debbie on February 3, 2010 @ 10:56 am

if you are having a reaction, check the label - the retinol can be too much for some skin. i have been using the night cream for about a week, and just started the day cream today. have used mary kay, clinique, olay, pond’s, estee lauder, etc. over the years. so far, these seem to work well but i also used the back of my hand for the first few days to test out the product. my aldi’s have tons of this stuff.

I am going through menopause. My skin is more dry, used to be so very oily, along with occasional breakouts, imagine that at the age of 54. So I tried the Lacura foundation and my face looks healthier and it stays moisterized all day. Prior to that I did use mineral make up, but it seemed to dry me more. I asked the consultant at Walgreens if there was a face makeup with good moisture to it, she said no, it’s all oil free now. That’s why I tried the Lacura. I love it. Can’t beat the price!!!! I use the eye gel cream, masks, toner. The moisterizers have a light smell and they bother my allergies. I wish they would make them unscented. I will be trying the other cosmetic products soon. Can’t beat the price and the way I look!!!!!

Well my skin is soooo soft now.

I love the Lacura skin care products. Aldi is no longer selling this line. Where can they be purchased?

the lacura range is by far the best products i have ever used. I have regular break outs and my skin was not anything to be fussed about. I have tried the more expensive products such as lancome, garnier..etc and although it has made my skin soft it has caused my skin to break out. The lacura products i have been using for a month now and i am hooked! my skin is so smooth my lines are not obvious at all and i feel like i am glowing! not only have they worked to my physical advantage they have saved my bank account from having a drought they are so cheap!

    Hi,
I was wondering is there anywhere that I can buy Lacura products in Vancouver, Canada or Bellingham U.S. …I used to buy at Aldi’s in Massena N.Y. but since I have moved to Vancouver. I loved the product and would love to continue using it.. Thank you

i,ve been using lacura products for a few years now. and wouldn,t use anything else. I,ve noticed a great improvement in my skin especially the eye area. I always stock up on Lacura products because the shelves are soon empty ! Can,t go wrong with this, try it
