CTRL Gender Specific Acne Treatment

CTRL Gender Specific Acne TreatmentHere’s a news flash … some of the most basic differences between men and women are no more than skin deep. Now, with the launch of a revolutionary new skin care product, each gender will be able to address these differences and protect themselves from acne in a way they have never been able to do before.

CTRL(TM) is the world’s first gender-specific, topical, non-prescription acne treatment. This special two-step system uses a carefully-adjusted proprietary formula and a unique combination of natural ingredients to attack and prevent acne at its root cause. CTRL(TM) is uniquely designed in two formulas, CTRL(TM) for Her and CTRL(TM) for Him, with each product created to address the specific design and structure of the skin it is treating.

“It’s amazing, when you look at the many and fundamental differences between men’s and women’s skin. Up until now, ordinary acne products treat acne with the exact same approach without consideration to these differences in male and female skin,” said Brian Jennings, Founder and CEO of Videsante. “CTRL(TM) is designed to take those differences into account and provide a safe, healthy, comprehensive approach that can erase not only
the appearance of acne but treat the root causes of it as well.”

The science behind CTRL(TM) is based on the four factors that trigger acne. These include hyperkeratinization, sebum production, infection and inflammation. The CTRL(TM) product uses Videsante’s proprietary 5 alpha Phyto-Technology(TM), featuring patented ingredients that attack the root source of acne by reducing oil and sebum production in the skin. At the same time, CTRL(TM) products also deliver a series of prebiotic complexes
that are designed to kill P. acne bacteria deep in the pores without damaging other important skin-balancing bacteria. CTRL(TM) uses Salicylic Acid to clear away dead skin cells and other debris and infuses lipid-rich ceramides into the skin to reduce blemishes and redness, leaving skin smooth and rejuvenated.

Perhaps most amazing is that all this carefully calculated science is accomplished with two simple treatments per day and without the hassle or cost of seeing a dermatologist.

CTRL(TM) for Her and CTRL(TM) for Him were created to address the fact that all skin is most certainly NOT created equal. Here are some crucial differences:

–  Female skin is more delicate and prone to irritation because female skin
is 25% thinner than male skin, which means the surface is that much more
delicate and prone to irritation
–  Male skin is higher pH leading to increases in bacteria growth
–  Female skin has a lower pH and more acidic skin surface requiring a more
balanced product
–  Male skin has more androgen sensitive receptors near the surface, which
can put oil production into overdrive and overwhelm unsuspecting pores
–  Female skin is affected by estrogen and progesterone levels while male
skin is affected by testosterone
–  Differences in lifestyle mean the male skin is at more risk for skin
surface debris from sweat, dirt and pore-blocking oils

CTRL(TM) has the added bonus of not only benefiting the skin itself but the bodies it wraps around. Innovative new technologies allow CTRL(TM) to deliver maximum effectiveness without using the irritating and potentially dangerous ingredients found in so many personal care products. These include parabens, also known as environmental estrogens, which are found in many of today’s widely used acne treatments, liquid hand soaps, moisturizers, deodorants and more. Parabens, while designed to prevent the
growth of bacteria within a container, have received increasing scrutiny from consumer advocacy groups and scientists alike in recent years. One reason is their ability and tendency to mimic the body’s natural estrogen, with potentially harmful long-term health effects.

“While our partners in the field of research continue to do their due diligence on the effects of parabens on humans,” said Jennings, “we are delighted to be able to offer our customers an option that takes the worry off of the table and gives them not only relief from their acne symptoms, but peace of mind as well.”

CTRL(TM) is a product of Videsante Pharmaceuticals, LLC, a company comprised of veterans from the worlds of pharmaceuticals, marketing, consumer product development, operations, multimedia marketing and finance. Their common vision is captured in the name they chose for their venture: Life (Vide) and Health (Sante). Videsante is dedicated to helping people grow and improve through the creation of pharmaceutical-grade skin products that are the result of a fusion of science and nature. All Videsante products are rigorously tested to meet the divergent needs of customers and healthcare professionals alike while being safe and effective. At the same time, Videsante is completely dedicated to social responsibility, as evidenced by corporate proceed contribution initiatives including customer “give-back” programs targeting worthy charities and its total commitment to
environmentally-conscious manufacturing, packaging and non-animal testing.

    Finally!

I’ve been ranting for so long about how there needs to be a gender-specific acne treatment. It seems that companies were purposefully ignoring the connection between gender and acne. It’s refreshing to see a product that addresses every single factor of acne.

Hopefully this will put an end to infomercials depicting only women in their before and after pictures.

Also, I’m a firm believer, as many are, that parabens do not belong in the products that we apply to our skin every single day.

    Good Product!

I just looked at the the ctrlacne.com site.
It makes sense that their is a difference in male and female skin. Can anyone tell me if this stuff actually works?

    Stuff is great.
I’ve tried for a long time to find something that worked for me. I order just before hallowen and I’m clean.
I look for it at CVS but then found out it was online - here’s where I found it www.ctrlacne.com.

For the last year I just tried to cut back on milk and fats and that seemed to improve things.

Has anyone has long term success with this product. I like what I read and I was very pleased to find a gender specific, paraben free and BZ free product. Still skeptical but would love some feedback.

I started it in January and I haven’t had any breakouts since

Ajennings, Do you like how the product feels on your skin?

Comment by Jason on July 16, 2009 @ 8:35 am

I started using CTRL in March and my skin has greatly improved since. At first, CTRL felt a little harsh. My face dried out and the product had a slight burning sensation (still less than those alcohol pads though). After the first week, both of these drawbacks vanished.

Comment by ajennings on July 18, 2009 @ 8:11 am

Yeah it keeps it moisturized and soft all the time

Comment by Peter on July 20, 2009 @ 5:59 am

Is it harsh like Proactiv? I dont need any products that are going to burn, dry me out or irritate me.

Comment by Jason on July 20, 2009 @ 7:24 am

No it is nothing like Proactiv… CTRL actually works.

It really is not harsh at all once your skin gets used to it, and that should only take a week or so.

Comment by ajennings on July 28, 2009 @ 9:14 am

Yeah it cleared all my acne in less than a week

Comment by Peter on July 29, 2009 @ 7:30 am

Do you think CTRL is safer and healthier than Proactiv?

Comment by christine on August 5, 2009 @ 12:37 pm
