Exederm Awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance
The Exederm Ultra Sensitive Skin Care range has been awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance™ in acknowledgement of its suitability for management of eczema and sensitive skin.
The Seal of Acceptance is a new initiative of the National Eczema Association. Eligible products are those that have been created for people with severe sensitive skin conditions and that also avoid a list of ingredients and contents that are known irritants. Many consumers already have some awareness of the importance of avoiding certain ingredients, contents and formulations. The Seal of Acceptance helps empower consumers to make informed purchase decisions to help manage sensitive-skin and to learn more about skin care.
Vicki Kalabokes, Chief Executive Officer of the NEA said “We are pleased to award The Seal of Acceptance to the Exederm products. As the products do not contain any known irritants or allergens, we hope they will be of tremendous benefit to eczema and sensitive skin patients to use with or without prescription medication.”
The Exederm 3 Step System is designed to heal flare-ups, maintain skin hydration and help prevent recurrence by avoiding common eczema triggers.
The products that have been awarded the Seal of Acceptance are:
Exederm Flare Control Cream
Exederm Intensive Moisture Cream
Exederm Cleansing Wash
The Exederm 3 Step System is specially formulated to avoid common irritants:
* No Color Dyes
* No Fragrance
* No Parabens
* No Sodium Laureth Sulfate
* No Lanolin
* No Formaldehyde
* No Nut Oils
Exederm Flare Control Cream is the only paraben and fragrance free hydrocortisone cream currently available in the US, together with the moisturizing cream and ultra sensitive wash, they are ideal for both adults and children with eczema or dermatitis.
“Our philosophy is simple, if an ingredient is not absolutely necessary then exclude it. If it’s essential, then find the lowest irritancy ingredient possible - it’s just common sense for eczema and sensitive skin sufferers” said John Gardiner, President of Bentlin Products LLC, manufacturers of Exederm Products.

Additional Information:
Eczema is a general term for any type of dermatitis or “inflammation of the skin.” Atopic dermatitis is the most severe and long-lasting kind. Although the term is often used for atopic dermatitis, there are several other skin diseases that qualify as well.
All types will cause itching and redness, and some will blister, weep, or peel.
Ecezma can tend to flare-up when the person is exposed to certain trigger factors–substances or conditions which worsen the dermatitis, such as dry skin, irritants, allergens, emotional stress, heat and sweating, and infections. The key to controlling the skin condition is avoiding or reducing such exposure including irritants often found in skincare and cosmetic products.
