I’m so glad that there are finally mineral makeup lines for blac women out there now. I prefer Mineral Indulgence’s mineral makeup for black women over the aforementioned product line, however, it is still refreshing for those options to be available to us.
I’ve tried this brand but had trouble with the colors - they all seemed a bit heavy and my skin broke out a bit (which never happened before).
I’m a huge fan of Sheer Aqua mineral cosmetics. I’m Asian-American and neighbor is African-American and we both swear by Sheer Aqua products. I haven’t found anything better. Problem is that I can’t get their products regularly. Rumor has it they are starting a US online store for now I have to get my business parnter to bring me back their stuff when she travels abroad.
I agree with the last two posters. I tried Blac minerals and HATED it on my skin. I never had issues with break outs, but the coloring was so off on me and it was unusually heavy feeling. I’ve never tried Sheer Aqua but I have tried Mineral Indulgence and I LOVE it. I use foundation (real foundation as in the liquid) as a base as well as powder and the Mineral Indulgence makeup gives me full coverage without my face feeling heavy. With blac minerals my face felt heavy and I wasnt even getting full coverage. I don’t know…but I’ve heard a lot of people having issues with blac minerals as far as shading (never breaouts though). :/
I’ve never heard of Sheer Aqua minerals or Mineral Indulgence, but I have used b.l.a.c minerals before. As others have stated…it seems to break you out and the coloring is unflattering. I don’t know what’s going on with the coloring…it’s just weird, or something. Sorta hard to explain. the color (the undertone) wil be completely abnormal from any color anyone woud ever be able to wear…but the shade wil be right. I wasted my money with b.l.a.c minerals buying several samples and still got this really weird unnatural undertone. I don’t know, maybe if you have uber red skin (very red) it will work for you….other than that I don’t recommend them at all.
This foundatin looks an awful lot like Monave and I am wondering if Monave is the wholesale supplier for this company (B.L.A.C.). If so, I can skip it as I know Deb (the owner of Monave)… These colors and that texture look awfully familiar as do the descriptions. Can anyone give me an honest answer here before I go spending money to try sometihng ‘new’? Thanks!
I purchased some lip glaze and foundation from blac minerals this weekend and I love it. The foundation is really light. You feel like you are not wearing any at all. I usually buy MAC foundation which leaves a really heavy feeling on my face. The lip glaze was great too because it feels like it is good for you because it is not heavy or sticky like my MAC lip glosses.
